About the position
Warby Parker is seeking skilled and enthusiastic Apprentice Opticians to join their team and contribute to their mission of helping people see. As an Apprentice Optician, you will become an expert on the brand and glasses, providing exceptional customer service to both new and existing customers. Working under the supervision of a Licensed Optician mentor, you will learn how to meet customers' eyewear needs, take measurements, adjust and fit eyewear, and ensure that finished eyewear meets optical standards. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to educate others about the brand and its values. Responsibilities
- Work under the direct supervision of a Licensed Optician mentor and learn how to meet customers' eyewear needs
- Learn how to take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear, and execute these details with flawless accuracy
- Learn how to check that finished eyewear meets optical standards, as well as customer requirements and requests
- Develop the expertise to explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers
- Work with the team to ensure all customers receive exceptional service
- Learn how to help customers choose the best frames and lenses based on their prescription needs, face fit, personal style, and lifestyle
- Collaborate with the team to form best practices for sales and customer service that can be implemented throughout the organization
- Represent the brand to help educate others and get them excited about the values and mission
Requirements
