About The Position

A-MAX Insurance is hiring a Licensed Insurance Producer for an in-office position in San Ysidro, California. The role is focused on helping customers choose and manage insurance policies, delivering strong customer service, and generating new business. A-MAX provides intensive paid training from the first day, covers licensing costs, and offers ongoing career support. Compensation is whichever is higher: hourly pay or up to 55% uncapped commission. Requirements

• Hold a valid, current California Personal Lines or Property & Casualty license.
• Have reliable transportation for daily marketing.
• Have basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to work independently with minimal or no supervision and quickly learn company or proprietary software.
• A strong sales mentality, desire to succeed, good organizational and interpersonal skills, and a strong customer focus.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Customer service or insurance sales experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with insurance needs, including starting and editing policies, taking payments, renewing and reinstating policies, and answering questions.
• Inspect vehicles and assess their general condition, age, and other characteristics to determine whether they are an acceptable insurance risk.
• Seek out prospective clients, generate prospect lists, and develop clientele through networking and marketing.
• Work with the office manager to develop marketing strategies for attracting new customers.
• Perform administrative tasks, handle policy renewals, and contact underwriting to complete policies.
• Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
• Complete continuing education courses required to maintain an active license with the California Department of Insurance; A-MAX pays for the courses.
