Licensed Beauty Advisor - Part Time
About The Position
As a Licensed Beauty Advisor at Sephora, you’ll guide clients on their beauty journey at the Beauty Studio and beyond. You’ll provide beauty services, share product knowledge and trends, and create a welcoming experience through teaching, inspiration, and personalized service. You’ll work as part of a diverse, supportive team and help achieve store goals while upholding Sephora’s standards, policies, and health and safety protocols. This part-time role requires an active state license for the listed services, reliable attendance, and availability during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Part-time employees work 15–29 hours per week.
Requirements
- Active license to provide waxing, makeup, and false application services in the state where services are performed.
- 1–3 years’ experience in a similar role or in a retail, hospitality, or service environment.
- Strong knowledge of beauty products, services, trends, and techniques.
- Ability to deliver personalized client service and build lasting relationships.
- Collaborative, goal-oriented team player.
- Ability to learn quickly, absorb product knowledge, and share it effectively.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Availability for 15–29 hours per week, including peak retail periods, nights, weekends, and holidays; punctuality and consistent attendance.
Responsibilities
- Help achieve store goals by providing and rebooking beauty services, servicing clients, and selling products.
- Provide makeup, waxing, and other services listed in Sephora’s Beauty Services menu.
- Stay informed about beauty trends and product knowledge to educate and empower clients.
- Maintain an active license and uphold hygiene, health, and safety protocols.
- Promote an inclusive culture where everyone feels empowered and contribute to teamwork.
- Follow company policies and Sephora standards to help create a safe, secure, and enjoyable shopping experience.
- Meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts and hours; be available during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.
