Licensed Beauty Advisor - Part Time
About The Position
As a Licensed Beauty Advisor at Sephora, you will guide clients in the Beauty Studio and beyond, using beauty expertise to provide services, educate and inspire clients, and create a positive shopping experience. You will help achieve store goals through beauty services, client service, rebooking, and product sales while contributing to an inclusive, collaborative team and upholding Sephora’s standards and safety protocols. This is a regular, part-time hourly position at the Danbury Fair store in Danbury, Connecticut. Part-time schedules are 15–29 hours per week and must meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts or hours. Availability during peak retail operations—including nights, weekends, and holidays—is required, along with punctuality and consistent attendance.
Requirements
- Active license to provide waxing, makeup, and false application services in the state where services are performed.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role or in a retail, hospitality, or service environment.
- Strong knowledge of beauty products, services, trends, and techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to provide personalized client service and build lasting relationships.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, goal-focused environment.
- Ability to learn quickly and absorb and share product knowledge effectively.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Availability for 15–29 hours per week, including peak retail operations such as nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Punctuality and consistent attendance.
Responsibilities
- Help achieve store goals by providing and rebooking beauty services, serving clients, and selling products.
- Provide makeup, waxing, and other services listed in Sephora’s Beauty Services menu.
- Stay informed about beauty trends and product knowledge to educate and empower clients.
- Maintain an active license and uphold health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
- Promote an inclusive culture where everyone feels empowered.
- Follow company policies and Sephora standards to help create a safe, secure, and enjoyable shopping experience.
- Meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts or hours and maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Be available during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
