About The Position
As a Licensed Beauty Advisor at Sephora, you are a beauty expert who guides clients at the Beauty Studio and beyond. The role combines beauty services, product recommendations, education, inspiration, and relationship-building to create positive client experiences. You will work as part of a diverse, supportive team and help maintain an inclusive, safe, and enjoyable shopping environment. This is a regular part-time hourly position at the Oceanside, New York store. Part-time employees must work 15–29 hours per week and meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts and hours. Availability during peak retail operations—including nights, weekends, and holidays—is required, along with punctuality and consistent attendance. The hourly pay range is $24.00–$27.50. The actual rate depends on relevant qualifications and experience, as well as other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors related to the position or location. Requirements
- Active license to provide waxing, makeup, and false application services in the state where services are performed.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role or in a retail, hospitality, or service environment.
- Strong knowledge of beauty products, services, trends, and techniques.
- Ability to deliver personalized client service and build lasting relationships.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a goal-oriented environment.
- Ability to learn quickly, absorb product knowledge, and share it effectively.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to meet part-time scheduling requirements of 15–29 hours per week, including peak retail operations.
Responsibilities
- Help achieve store goals by providing and rebooking beauty services, servicing clients, and selling products.
- Provide makeup, waxing, and other services listed in Sephora’s Beauty Services menu.
- Stay informed about beauty trends and product knowledge to educate and empower clients.
- Maintain active licenses and uphold hygiene, health, and safety protocols.
- Promote an inclusive culture of openness where everyone feels empowered.
- Follow company policies and help create a safe, secure, and enjoyable shopping experience.
- Meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts and hours; maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Be available during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
