Licensed Beauty Advisor - Part Time
About The Position
As a Licensed Beauty Advisor at Sephora, you’ll guide clients on their beauty journey in the Beauty Studio and beyond. You’ll provide beauty services, share product and trend knowledge, and create an engaging client experience through teaching, inspiration, and play. This is a part-time, hourly role at the Nanuet, New York store. The position requires an active state license for the services provided, reliable attendance, and availability during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Part-time schedules are 15–29 hours per week and must meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts or hours.
Requirements
- Active license to provide waxing, makeup, and false application services in the state where services are performed.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role or in a retail, hospitality, or service environment.
- Strong knowledge of beauty products, services, trends, and techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver personalized client service and build lasting relationships.
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative and goal-oriented environment.
- Quick learner with the ability to absorb and share product knowledge effectively.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts or hours; part-time schedules are 15–29 hours per week.
- Available during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Punctuality and consistent attendance.
Responsibilities
- Help achieve store goals by providing and rebooking beauty services, serving clients, and selling products.
- Provide makeup, waxing, and other services listed in Sephora’s Beauty Services menu.
- Stay informed about beauty trends and product knowledge to educate and empower clients.
- Keep licenses active and uphold health and safety protocols.
- Help promote a culture of openness where everyone feels empowered.
- Follow company policies and help create a safe, secure, and enjoyable shopping experience for all.
- Meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts or hours and maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Be available during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
