Licensed Addictions Therapist
About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Licensed Addictions Therapist at its Bucks location. Avenues is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers offering detox, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient services. The Bucks facility is a community-based, residential-style outpatient program offering partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment. It partners with Crosswalk Sober Living, where clients can participate in treatment while residing in sober living homes with 24/7 supervision and care. The therapist provides individualized, evidence-based care for an assigned client caseload, including treatment planning, therapy, coordination of clinical services, crisis response, and aftercare. The role works with the Clinical Director, treatment team, and clients’ families to coordinate care, maintains thorough documentation, and models ethical conduct and recovery principles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field.
- Valid state licensure necessary to practice in the role is preferred.
- Excellent observational, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Compassionate, dignified character that models recovery principles.
- Ability to set strong boundaries and maintain absolute confidentiality.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid state licensure necessary to practice in the role preferred.
Responsibilities
- Create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for each client.
- Conduct individual, group, family, and couple therapy sessions.
- Take responsibility for the clinical needs, services, and aftercare of an assigned client caseload.
- Prevent, intervene, and de-escalate during crises.
- Maintain thorough documentation of client challenges, progress, relapse risk, and interventions.
- Coordinate care with the Clinical Director, treatment team, and clients’ families.
- Model honesty, accountability, dignity, respect, and recovery principles in professional interactions.
