About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Mental Health Therapists/Substance Abuse Counselors for its detox and residential treatment facility in Aurora, Colorado. This is an in-person role within a collaborative, mission-driven clinical team that supports clients as they stabilize, engage in treatment, and move forward in recovery. Therapists provide individualized, evidence-based care and are supported, trusted, and valued as part of the team.

Requirements

Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
Active Colorado licensure or certification, such as LAC, LPCC, LPC, LSW, LCSW, CAS, CAC III, or ADDC.
Strong clinical judgment, observation, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and strict confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

Experience in substance use disorder, mental health, or co-occurring disorders is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
Facilitate individual, group, family, and couples therapy.
Manage clinical services and aftercare planning for an assigned caseload.
Prevent, intervene, and de-escalate crisis situations.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, risks, and interventions.
Collaborate with the Clinical Director, multidisciplinary treatment team, and families.
Model recovery-centered values, including ethics, accountability, dignity, and respect.
