Closing shifts typically run from 5 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., though actual end times may vary based on sales and the day's operations. Scheduled hours depend on employee availability and store needs. The posting states that all positions are part-time unless otherwise stated, and that employees may have the opportunity to work full-time if store hours allow and they complete training, reliably work shifts, and communicate their full-time needs to the manager. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. Assistant pay ranges from $15.95 to $18.26, with raises given upon completion of training evaluations. Monthly bonuses may be offered when criteria and responsibilities are met, but are not guaranteed. Medical, dental, and vision insurance are available to employees who have worked at least one year and average at least 32 hours per week. Oregon sick-pay requirements apply. The work includes operating store equipment; stocking, preparing, and handling food; processing telephone and in-person orders; taking inventory and completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. Work takes place in changing temperatures, including a walk-in cooler and hot work areas, and may involve exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical activities include standing or walking for most of the shift, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, occasional stair or ladder use, bending, crouching, reaching, and frequent hand use. The role requires communication, basic math and money-handling skills, accurate order entry, coordination, judgment, and the ability to work under stress, independently and with others.
