About The Position

Guitar Center’s Lessons Lead helps ensure a positive experience for customers and students by selling lesson and rehearsal packages, answering questions, and giving tours of the Lessons facility. The role supports the company’s mission to develop and nurture lifelong musicians in an inclusive, customer-first environment.

The Lessons Lead drives lesson-program enrollment and curriculum sales, sells rehearsal space, coordinates lesson schedules with instructor availability, and provides guidance to instructors, students, and parents. The position also maintains lesson and rehearsal schedules and ensures facility systems are functioning properly. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in musical instruction, administration, or retail non-instruction work.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Customer service skills and the ability to provide a positive customer experience.
• Clear, concise, positive, and courteous written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment.
• Ability to lead, manage, and mentor others, provide feedback, and manage a geographically dispersed team.

Responsibilities

• Increase lesson-program student count by driving and maintaining sales and promotional programs.
• Sell rehearsal space.
• Communicate with parents and students to support a positive overall experience.
• Guide instructors, students, and schedules, coordinating lessons with instructor availability.
• Maintain and increase curriculum sales.
• Ensure systems are functioning properly.
• Maintain the facility’s lesson and rehearsal schedules.
• Sell lesson packages, assist customers with questions, and provide tours of the Lessons facility.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
