About The Position
Guitar Center’s Lessons Associate helps create a positive experience for customers and students by selling lesson and rehearsal packages, answering questions, and providing tours of the Lessons facility. The role supports Guitar Center’s mission to nurture lifelong musicians and make music accessible in an inclusive, customer-first environment. Successful associates demonstrate collaboration, customer focus, clear interpersonal communication, and strong organizational skills. They build productive working relationships, connect with customers, handle service issues, communicate respectfully with diverse stakeholders, and manage tasks carefully in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds.
- Demonstrate collaboration and teamwork.
- Provide excellent customer service and connect with customers in a meaningful way.
- Communicate clearly, courteously, and respectfully with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate organizational skills, attention to detail, multitasking, and the ability to complete tasks thoroughly and promptly in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Increase student enrollment in the lesson program by maintaining professional instruction and appearance to encourage student retention and recommendations from students and parents.
- Sell lesson packages and rehearsal space, where applicable, to prospective students.
- Maintain curriculum sales information.
- Provide a positive experience for students by adapting lesson pacing to their needs and providing positive reinforcement.
- Assist customers with questions and provide tours of the Lessons facility.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
