About The Position

Guitar Center’s Lessons Associate helps create a positive experience for customers and students by selling lesson and rehearsal packages, answering questions, and giving tours of the Lessons facility. The role supports Guitar Center’s mission to develop and nurture lifelong musicians and help people experience the joy of creating music. The associate helps grow lesson-program enrollment, maintain curriculum sales information, and accommodate lessons to students’ needs with positive reinforcement.

Requirements

Able to lift up to 5 pounds.
Able to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.
Able to provide excellent customer service and connect meaningfully with customers.
Able to communicate clearly, positively, and courteously with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Able to organize time and resources, multitask, and pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment.

Responsibilities

Increase student enrollment in the lesson program by maintaining professional instruction and appearance to encourage retention and recommendations from students and parents.
Sell lesson packages and rehearsal space, where applicable, to prospective students.
Maintain curriculum sales information.
Provide students with a positive experience by accommodating lesson pacing to their needs and offering positive reinforcement.
Assist customers with questions and provide tours of the Lessons facility.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
