About The Position

Guitar Center’s Retail Operations Associate supports store operations by handling inventory and shipments, completing daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to create a positive customer experience. The role calls for collaboration, customer focus, initiative, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and use retail technology and systems. Associates help protect store assets and people by learning and following applicable protocols and guidelines.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to collaborate and build effective working relationships.
• Ability to provide an excellent customer experience and connect meaningfully with customers.
• Ability to identify opportunities and issues, learn quickly, and take initiative.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment.
• Ability to learn and use retail technology, systems, equipment, and computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Handle tasks related to inventory control.
• Ship and receive gear and other items.
• Prepare and execute inventory cycle counts.
• Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
• Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
• Handle cash.
• Maintain awareness of shrink and help control it.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
