About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a Senior Sales Associate who is passionate about music and experienced in sales. The role creates a welcoming environment for customers, helps them select instruments and gear, and supports sales goals while building customer relationships and contributing to the local music community. The Senior Sales Associate maintains product knowledge, supports merchandising and store upkeep, and helps guide and mentor team members. As a keyholding member of the store, the associate may be responsible for opening and closing as needed. The position pays $19.84–$24.80 per hour plus commission, depending on background and experience; compensation may vary by location and individual factors. The role requires flexibility to work additional hours, nights, and weekends as needed.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Create a welcoming environment and help customers find gear that suits their musical interests and needs.
Achieve and exceed sales targets, including through upselling and cross-selling instruments and accessories.
Maintain expert-level knowledge of products, including guitars and recording equipment, and help improve colleagues’ product knowledge.
Build strong customer relationships and help fellow associates develop relationships with customers and the local music community.
Organize displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
Guide and mentor team members and support them with customer interactions and operational tasks.
Open and close the store as needed as a keyholding team member.
