About The Position

Guitar Center’s Lessons Associate helps create a great experience for customers and students by selling lesson and rehearsal packages, answering customer questions, and providing tours of the Lessons facility. The role supports Guitar Center’s mission to develop lifelong musicians and make the joy of creating music accessible to musicians and non-musicians alike. Successful associates collaborate effectively, focus on customer needs, communicate clearly and courteously, and stay organized and attentive to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 5 pounds.
Ability to collaborate and build good working relationships with others.
Ability to provide excellent customer service and address customer service issues.
Clear, concise, positive, and courteous written and verbal communication with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment.

Responsibilities

Increase student enrollment in the lesson program by maintaining professional instruction and appearance to encourage student retention and recommendations from students and parents.
Sell lesson packages and rehearsal space, where applicable, to prospective students.
Maintain curriculum sales information.
Provide a positive experience for students by adapting lesson pacing to their needs and offering positive reinforcement.
Answer customer questions and provide tours of the Lessons facility.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
