About The Position

Boscov’s Travel is hiring a full-time, in-office Leisure Travel Advisor to help clients plan and book travel. The position is suited to an energetic, friendly, and motivated person who is passionate about helping customers create memorable trips. Candidates with travel-industry or sales/customer-service experience are preferred; the company is willing to train the right person through a 10-week training course.

The advisor coordinates clients’ travel goals, plans trip details and budgets, and books travel arrangements and related documentation using travel software. Arrangements may include domestic and international air travel, hotels, rental cars, and ground transportation, as well as travel insurance. The advisor also keeps current with travel restrictions and safety protocols and supports the travel team’s day-to-day administration.

Requirements

• Two years of leisure travel selling experience is required.
• Experience with air-travel booking automation; Sabre is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of a computer reservations system.

Responsibilities

• Discuss and coordinate clients’ travel goals and establish budgets.
• Book travel arrangements and documentation, including travel insurance, using travel software.
• Maintain awareness of current travel restrictions and safety protocols for transportation modes and destinations.
• Support the travel team with day-to-day administration of the travel program.
• Make domestic and international travel arrangements, including air, hotel, car, and ground transportation.
• Manage relationships with key travel vendors.
• Help ensure customers receive accurate, high-quality service and a positive experience.
• Understand or learn industry standards and best practices for travel, payment, and expenses.
