Leisure Travel Advisor
About The Position
Boscov’s Travel is hiring a full-time, in-office Leisure Travel Advisor to help clients plan and book travel that creates lasting memories. The role involves discussing clients’ travel goals, coordinating travel plans and budgets, and arranging transportation, accommodations, and related services. The advisor also keeps current on travel restrictions and safety protocols and uses travel software to book all aspects of trips, including travel insurance. The ideal candidate has at least two years of leisure travel selling experience, though Boscov’s Travel is willing to train the right person. Candidates without travel experience may complete a 10-week in-depth training course. The role also supports the travel team’s day-to-day administration and requires delivering accurate, high-quality customer service while managing relationships with key travel vendors.
Requirements
- Two years of leisure travel selling experience required.
- Air travel booking automation experience; Sabre preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Customer relationship management skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of domestic and international travel.
- Strong knowledge of a computer reservations system.
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, industry standards and best practices for travel, payment, and expenses.

Responsibilities
- Discuss and coordinate clients’ travel goals, including booking travel documentation and establishing budgets.
- Maintain awareness of current travel restrictions and safety protocols for transportation modes and destinations.
- Use travel software to book all aspects of clients’ trips, including travel insurance.
- Support the travel team with day-to-day administration of the travel program.
- Make travel arrangements and assist customers with planning and booking them.
- Manage relationships with key travel vendors.
- Help ensure teams provide customers with an accurate, high-quality experience.
- Book domestic and international air, car, hotel, and ground transportation arrangements.
