About The Position

Waste Solution Services (WSS) helps multifamily and commercial property management companies reduce and stabilize waste expenses by managing vendor relationships, auditing invoices, optimizing contracts, and resolving service issues. As the company grows, it is expanding its operations, infrastructure, and internal capabilities. The Legal Operations Manager is the primary internal point of contact for legal matters across the organization and works directly with the CEO and department leadership. This hands-on role owns day-to-day legal needs and builds the processes, templates, and systems required to support a growing business. The manager operates independently, exercises sound judgment, and determines which matters can be handled internally and which require outside counsel. The role establishes and continually improves the company’s legal operations by creating standardized procedures, contract templates, and workflows, and by bringing structure and accountability to legal matters. Its objective is to create a centralized legal function so leadership can focus on running the business while legal matters are handled efficiently, proactively, and appropriately. The position is full-time and in-office in Lawrence, New York, with annual compensation of $100,000–$130,000, and reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

  • Ability to exercise sound independent judgment and prioritize competing legal matters.
