About The Position

The Department of Sociology and Criminology & Justice Studies at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach SOC 320: Sociological Theory. This course explores the nature of theory in sociology and includes an analysis of selected social theorists.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in the area of instruction or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

  • Teach SOC 320: Sociological Theory during the Fall 2026 semester.
  • Conduct classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 9:50 a.m.
  • Provide instruction in-person.
