The Department of Sociology and Criminology & Justice Studies at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach SOC 105: Introduction to Justice Studies. This course provides an introduction to the interdisciplinary field of Justice Studies, exploring economic, social, and criminal justice issues through sociological, philosophical, and legal perspectives. Students will critically assess obstacles and opportunities in the pursuit of justice in the United States and abroad, with topics including formal legal systems, institutionalization of injustice, environmental justice, and genocide. Salary is commensurate with credential and experience.
