About The Position

As part of a teaching team, the incumbent will be the instructor for the Case-based learning portion of the core Foundations course in the Translational Research Program. There are three translational cases throughout the two terms of increasing complexity. The first two cases involve three parts plus a presentation, or approximately 9 (2hr) sessions. The Case-studies lecturer is responsible for developing new cases based on existing faculty research, recruiting and training group facilitators for the first two case-studies, and selecting PI projects for the third case study. The estimated course enrollment is approximately 30 students. The class schedule consists of 2-hour seminar-style workshops occurring Tuesdays from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. The sessional dates of appointment are September 1, 2026 – April 30, 2027.

  • Masters degree.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new cases based on existing faculty research.

  • Development and administration of assignments, tests and examinations.
  • Marking and grading of student work.
