About The Position

This module introduces professionalism in experiential learning, reflection, and self-evaluation paradigms in healthcare. The module will be presented in 6 sessions of 2 hours each. Students will be introduced to the basics of Professionalism etiquette and its role in shaping leadership and team-based interactions in a healthcare context. In addressing reflection and self-evaluation, the module will probe students’ awareness of self as translational researchers in a global context and explore how their work and approach to a need may be applied in a different setting where the need may be greater (or different). Estimated course enrollment: ~ 30 students. Class schedule: 2-hour seminar-style workshops; occurring Thursdays (Time to be confirmed). Sessional dates of appointment: September 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026.

Requirements

  • Masters degree
  • Professional and/or academic experience related to the course material is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and delivery of course content, including lectures and/or seminars
  • Creation of courseware
  • Development and administration of assignments, tests and examinations
  • Marking and grading of student work and the submission of grades to appropriate University officials
  • Maintenance of reasonable hours of student contact outside of scheduled contact hours
