About The Position

Colorado State University Pueblo is seeking a Lecturer in Music - Strings to instruct applied music (violin and viola), ensembles, and string techniques. The role requires a minimum of three days per week on campus for instructional purposes. The position also involves leading and delivering recruiting events for strings, such as Honor Choir and Orchestra Festival, and actively engaging with prospective students. A key component of the role includes contributing as a member of one or more CSU Pueblo Faculty ensembles. Employment-Based Immigration Sponsorship is not available for this position. The salary for this position is $42,000.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Music or Music Education
  • Two years' experience of teaching applied string classes
  • Experience of playing in ensembles

Responsibilities

  • Instruct Applied Music (violin and viola, major or non-major levels)
  • Instruct Ensemble as assigned
  • Instruct String Techniques
  • Lead administration and delivery of recruiting events for strings, such as Honor Choir and Orchestra Festival
  • Meet and correspond with prospective students to actively recruit in their instrumental and ensemble area
  • Contribute as a member of one or more CSU Pueblo Faculty ensembles
