About the position
The job overview for the role of Leave Payroll Analyst at Sparrow is to provide internal support for leave specialists by preparing customized payroll plans and reconciliations for customers' payroll teams. The analyst will collaborate with various key parties, including leave specialists, sales and marketing, and engineering teams, to ensure accurate and timely payroll calculations. Additionally, the analyst will work with customers' payroll teams to understand their needs, assist with setup, and share best practices. The role also involves collecting and sharing product feedback, identifying improvements in payroll calculations, and implementing process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Provide internal support for leave specialists with leave and payroll calculations
- Prepare customized and personalized payroll plans and payroll reconciliations for customers' payroll teams
- Act responsively, accurately, and with attention to customers' payroll deadlines
- Ensure correct personalized payroll plans are calculated on the Sparrow dashboard
- Interface and collaborate with leave specialists, sales and marketing, and engineering teams
- Collaborate with customers' payroll teams to ensure they love Sparrow
- Work with onboarding specialists to understand customers' payroll needs
- Assist with the setup of customized personalized payroll plans, payroll schedules, and payroll workflows
- Share best practices for leave payroll when needed
- Collect and share product feedback
- Identify improvements in payroll calculations software and services
- Provide input on payroll system integrations
- Implement process improvements to resolve inefficiencies and address customer pain points
- Have 2-5 years of experience in data-focused operations, payroll, accounting, or bookkeeping
- Possess excellent spreadsheet skills, including proficiency in Excel functions, formulas, and cell formatting
- Have superior organization skills and attention to detail
- Have outstanding verbal and written communication skills
