About The Position

AMH is seeking a Leasing Specialist to serve as an initial point of contact for potential and current tenants. The role supports the leasing process by managing customer communications and administrative tasks associated with lease transactions. The Leasing Specialist evaluates customer needs, guides customers through property tours, coordinates with leasing agents, and assists new residents with required documentation and application steps.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Proven relationship management, organizational, and customer service abilities.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience in sales and customer service is preferred.
• A real estate license may be desired but is not required.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer requirements, guide customers through property tours, and liaise with leasing agents.
• Record all interactions in the CRM system.
• Coordinate sending necessary documentation to new residents.
• Assist with the application process by collaborating with underwriting and lease writing teams.
• Keep abreast of company policies.
