About The Position

Under the direction of the Community Manager, the Leasing Specialist supports and assists with all aspects of community operations. The position supports customer service and leasing activities, helps prospective residents through the leasing process, assists with lease paperwork and renewals, and works with residents on outstanding balances. The Leasing Specialist also supports resident activities and retention.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as an onsite Leasing Consultant in multifamily housing, hospitality, or a similar industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uphold leasing and marketing standards, including telephone marketing, greeting prospective residents, gathering prospect information, setting appointments, showing ready and model apartments, generating quotes, closing, securing deposits, and assisting with rental applications and credit verification.
• Assist in preparing paperwork for new and renewal lease agreements.
• Insert lease renewal rates as approved by the Community Manager and assist with delivering renewal letters to secure lease renewals.
• Review resident files and accounting records to identify unpaid balances and late fees; communicate with residents about outstanding balances, implement delinquency collection procedures, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Assist the Community Manager with organizing resident activities, preparing newsletters, and maintaining resident loyalty and retention.
