About The Position

Red Tail Residential is seeking a Leasing Intern for a 10-week paid internship experience in the Minneapolis, MN area. This internship offers a comprehensive rotation through various aspects of Property Management, including Leasing, Assistant Manager, Manager, Maintenance, Operations, and Corporate functions. Interns will be mentored by senior leaders and may work on real-world special projects. The Leasing Intern will provide administrative and operational support to the onsite team, gaining exposure to customer-facing and behind-the-scenes aspects of property management. This full-time internship is designed to offer hands-on experience in leasing, operations, and resident services, providing insight into the daily functions of a successful community. The company is growing quickly and provides investors with ethical investment opportunities focused on improving communities through renovation projects. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited program, Real Estate, Hospitality or Property Management preferred.
  • Sophomore year completed by start of Internship, preferred.
  • Previous administrative, customer service, or office experience preferred but not required
  • Basic to intermediate computer proficiency
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Positive, professional attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Interest in property management, real estate, or business operations
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
  • Must be able to work at a computer and use a phone for extended periods.
  • Full-time schedule required for the duration of the internship (05/26 – 07/31).
  • Consistent attendance and reliability are essential.
  • Some flexibility in hours, including occasional weekends, may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the leasing and management team.
  • Assist with data entry, file management, and maintaining accurate resident and leasing records.
  • Support the preparation of leasing documents and move-in/move-out paperwork.
  • Help manage unit availability updates and internal tracking systems.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating move-in calendars.
  • Respond to general inquiries via phone and email, directing requests as appropriate.
  • Support resident communication efforts and service request tracking.
  • Participate in property tours and leasing activities as needed for exposure and learning.
  • Assist with market research and competitor analysis projects.
  • Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional administrative or operational duties as assigned.
