This Real Estate Management Internship is a 10-week paid program where students rotate through all aspects of Property Management at an assigned community, including Leasing, Assistant Manager, Manager, Maintenance, Operations, and Corporate functions. Interns receive mentorship from a senior leader and may work on assigned, real-world special projects. The program is designed to help residents find their way and their home, allowing participants to work alongside professionals to create thriving living experiences. The Leasing Intern will provide administrative and operational support to the onsite team, gaining exposure to both customer-facing and behind-the-scenes aspects of property management. This full-time internship offers hands-on experience in leasing, operations, and resident services, providing insight into the daily functions of a successful community.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited program, Real Estate, Hospitality or Property Management preferred.
  • Sophomore year completed by start of Internship, preferred.
  • Previous administrative, customer service, or office experience preferred but not required
  • Basic to intermediate computer proficiency
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred
  • Always be professional

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the leasing and management team.
  • Assist with data entry, file management, and maintaining accurate resident and leasing records.
  • Support the preparation of leasing documents and move-in/move-out paperwork.
  • Help manage unit availability updates and internal tracking systems.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating move-in calendars.
  • Respond to general inquiries via phone and email, directing requests as appropriate.
  • Support resident communication efforts and service request tracking.
  • Participate in property tours and leasing activities as needed for exposure and learning.
  • Assist with market research and competitor analysis projects.
  • Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional administrative or operational duties as assigned.
