Leasing Consultant - Full Time

About The Position

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for the day-to-day leasing and marketing operations of The Avenue at Norman while maintaining positive resident relations. Duties include communicating with prospective and current residents, pursuing leasing leads, supporting community marketing and resident events, addressing resident concerns, and performing reporting and administrative tasks. This job description is a guide rather than an exhaustive or permanent list of duties; responsibilities may be modified, and additional duties may be assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

At least one year of customer service and/or sales experience.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to resolve escalated customer concerns.
Understanding of Fair Housing.
High school diploma.

Nice To Haves

Property management leasing experience.
Some college.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.

Responsibilities

Answer calls and persuade potential residents to visit the property or its website.
Greet potential residents, parents, visitors, and existing residents professionally.
Follow up on leads daily in the leasing database.
Place delinquency phone calls.
Complete guest cards and send thank-you notes.
Attend and participate in resident events, including event cleanup.
Build working relationships with universities, local institutions, employers, local businesses, and cultural centers to drive prospects to the property.
Execute and promote resident events.
Set up on campus and distribute promotional items.
Conduct community marketing by meeting with local businesses and distributing flyers.
Tour competing properties regularly to gather information about leasing strategies, specials, occupancy, prelease percentages, and property upkeep.
Address and resolve questions and concerns in a timely manner.
Log packages.
Generate mailings.
Collect checks and other monies owed.
File leases.
Perform additional duties or take on additional responsibilities as requested by a supervisor.
