About The Position

Glick is seeking a customer-service-focused Leasing Consultant for its Chelsea Village apartment community. The Leasing Consultant is responsible for implementing apartment leasing, supporting prospective residents through the leasing process, and assisting with marketing and resident retention. The role requires compliance with HUD regulations, when applicable, and Fair Housing requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
• Prior experience in a customer service environment.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
• Able to work a varied schedule, including weekends.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Able to read and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Promptly answer telephone and email inquiries and seek to schedule appointments to show the community to prospective residents.
• Greet prospective residents, tour model or vacant apartments, demonstrate apartment features and community amenities, explain occupancy terms, and provide information about local areas.
• Close leasing sales and obtain a holding deposit, when applicable, and an application for an apartment or waiting list.
• Follow up promptly with prospective residents who have not leased to continue the sales process and secure the sale.
• Determine and certify prospective residents’ eligibility in accordance with government regulations and company procedures.
• Process applications, prepare move-in paperwork, and conduct move-ins with new residents.
• Assist the Property Manager with property advertising and promotions related to prospective residents and resident retention.
• Conduct regular marketing surveys of competitors’ activities in the surrounding marketplace.
• Make marketing recommendations based on analysis of marketing surveys.
• Complete and submit reports promptly to the appropriate person.
• Conduct activities in accordance with HUD regulations, when applicable, and Fair Housing requirements.
