Leasing Consultant at Forest Ridge
About The Position
The Leasing Consultant at Forest Ridge Apartments supports leasing, property operations, and resident experience at a 205-unit apartment community in Salem, Oregon. The role reports to the Property Manager and is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation is $19.00–$21.00 per hour, with leasing and renewal commission opportunities and a 20% employee rent discount at Forest Ridge Apartments, subject to availability. The position combines administrative and leasing responsibilities with resident engagement. The consultant advertises and promotes the property, manages leads using industry-specific software, tours prospective and current residents, and completes the full lease process. The role also supports occupancy and revenue goals, follows applicable housing requirements, escalates tenant relations issues to the Property Manager, and helps facilitate resident events.
Requirements
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of customer service and sales experience.
- Reliable transportation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Teamwork, good hygiene, ethical behavior and integrity, excellent customer service and communication skills, ability to multitask, and ambition for continuous professional development.
Responsibilities
- Comply with Fair Housing and Equal Housing Opportunities requirements.
- Comply with appropriate state landlord/tenant statutes.
- Attend training and development seminars.
- Advertise and promote the property.
- Use industry-specific software for lead management.
- Provide tours to prospective and current residents.
- Complete the full-cycle lease process with prospective residents.
- Ensure compliance with renter’s insurance requirements.
- Maintain resident occupancy of 95%.
- Ensure timely collection of rent and other ancillary revenue.
- Engage with prospective and current tenants professionally and courteously.
- Escalate tenant relation issues to the Property Manager.
- Facilitate resident events.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager.
