About The Position

The Leasing Consultant works with the onsite management team to create a positive experience for visitors, prospective residents, and residents. The role supports leasing goals, including occupancy and rent growth, by building rapport and highlighting the community and apartment-home lifestyle. The consultant also performs office activities and coordinates rental paperwork while helping maintain resident retention.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, trade, technical, or vocational school education.
• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills in a Windows environment.
• Ability to be courteous, professional, organized, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures and work as a team player.

Responsibilities

• Tour the property with prospects and answer questions about amenities, the local community, and grounds.
• Promote the community and apartment-home lifestyle to drive leasing.
• Collect appropriate information and initiate background checks to help prospects qualify for an apartment home.
• Ensure apartments are prepared for move-in.
• Provide service to residents and support resident retention.
• Perform office activities and coordinate paperwork related to apartment-home rentals.
• Assist the leasing activities of the leasing staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
