About The Position

This is a virtual, asynchronous web-based course for the Spring-Summer 2026 semester, focusing on Leadership, Laws, and Regulations (PDP1583). The course involves the lecture and interpretation of audiograms to better plan teaching for deaf or hard-of-hearing students. It also covers understanding hearing capacity and its potential repercussions on language development, teaching planning, and curriculum development.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education
  • Specialist qualification in the field
  • Recent full-time teaching experience in a school or administration in a school board
  • 2 years of experience implementing the Ontario curriculum in this subject
  • Up-to-date qualification confirmation in the field
  • Demonstrated ability to apply the Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics of Ontario educators
  • An equivalent level of education/experience may supplement the required education and/or experience.
