About The Position

This course, Seminars in Psychology: Nature and Ritual in End-of Life Therapies (PSY6191, Section P00), is a graduate seminar focusing on selected topics in contemporary psychology. The course will be co-taught by two professors. The selected candidate will be expected to coordinate with the other professor on teaching methods and evaluation strategies, including the nature and timing of assignments, projects, and/or examinations. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. The provided rates do not include vacation or statutory pay and will be in effect until a new collective agreement is ratified, with retroactivity paid after ratification. Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Psychology or related discipline
  • Advanced knowledge of the course content area (Nature and Ritual in End-of Life Therapies)
  • Competence in a second language (passive)
  • Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.

  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

  • Co-teach the course 'Seminars in Psychology: Nature and Ritual in End-of Life Therapies' (PSY6191, Section P00).
  • Coordinate with the co-professor regarding teaching methods and evaluation methods (nature and timing of assignments, projects and/or examinations).
  • Present and discuss selected topics on contemporary psychology in a graduate seminar format.
