About The Position

Kinderhouse Montessori is seeking a Lead Toddler Montessori Guide in San Diego, California. The role develops and implements age-appropriate curriculum using Montessori pedagogy, plans activities that support children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development, and assesses and documents student progress. The guide helps lead learning activities, supports children’s development, ensures their safety and well-being, and creates a harmonious environment for children and fellow teachers. The starting pay is $23.00–$26.00 per hour, depending on education and experience. The posting offers a $3,000 hiring bonus, paid in two $1,500 installments at three and six months, provided the employee is in good standing. Relocation funds are available for an out-of-state candidate with AMI certification. Kinderhouse Montessori is part of Endeavor Schools, which has more than 100 schools in 14 states.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Montessori certification required.
Currently enrolled in or graduated from an AMI-accredited training program for ages 0 to 3.
Experience in early childhood education in a certified child development center.
Prior experience with toddler and preschool students.
Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and tablet.
12 Child Development Units, required by the State of California.
