About The Position

People’s Food Co-op is seeking a full-time Lead Team Member for its Deli Counter. The role efficiently and accurately performs deli service-counter functions, assists customers, and helps ensure each customer feels engaged and delighted. The work includes preparing sandwiches, specialty coffee and tea beverages, and other customer items; keeping the soup and salad bar stocked and clean; preparing products for the next day; and cleaning dishes, sweeping, mopping, and removing trash. The available opening shift is 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., five days per week, with availability Sunday through Saturday. The position pays $17.00 per hour. Requirements

Be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Safely lift 45 lbs.
Handle knives and other cutting equipment.
Work in a wet and cold environment.
Stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
Bend, twist, squat, and reach.
Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
