About The Position

Learning Care Group is hiring a Lead Teacher for its James Island location. The role focuses on creating engaging learning experiences, supporting preschool children's social, physical, and intellectual development, leading classroom management and curriculum implementation, and building relationships with families. The Lead Teacher also mentors fellow Teachers and ensures classroom practices follow licensing guidelines and company standards.

Learning Care Group describes its work as providing early childhood education through specialized programs for children from 6 weeks to 12 years. Its research-based curriculum is intended to support holistic development in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment and to prepare children for school and future success.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Be able to meet state education requirements and the childcare center's requirements.
• Be able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Be energetic, dependable, and passionate.

Responsibilities

• Create fun, interactive learning experiences and mentor fellow Teachers.
• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children in the classroom.
• Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Maintain expertise in and follow licensing guidelines and company standards.
• Build relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote children's achievement and support the center's success.
• Engage in physical activity with children indoors or outdoors.
