About The Position

The Lead Teacher works at a child care center and supports preschool children’s learning and development. The role involves creating fun, interactive learning experiences, mentoring fellow Teachers, managing the classroom, implementing curriculum, and following licensing guidelines and company standards. The Lead Teacher also builds relationships with enrolled and prospective families to support children’s achievement and the center’s success. The position requires working indoors or outdoors and engaging in physical activity with children.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state education requirements and the childcare center’s requirements.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Energetic, dependable, and passionate.

Responsibilities

• Create fun, interactive learning experiences.
• Mentor fellow Teachers.
• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children.
