About The Position

SPATCO Energy Solutions is hiring an experienced service technician to troubleshoot, repair, install, program, and test petroleum fueling equipment and related point-of-sale systems. The role supports customers through scheduled repairs, preventative maintenance, and clear explanations of technical issues. Technicians work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, other experienced technicians, and trainees; the position may include assisting a trainee with training and certifications. The work does not follow a typical 8 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule, and hours may vary with workload and customer needs. It involves daily local travel and outdoor work in all types of weather.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and good driving record.
At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
Valid dispenser certification(s).
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Ability to travel locally on a daily basis.
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR systems.
Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and make repairs as required.
Perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance on fueling systems.
Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in a non-technical manner.
Work with branch managers, dispatchers, technicians, and trainees, including assisting trainees with training and certifications when paired with them.
