About The Position

Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking an experienced Scheduler Lead for its Surgical Services Department. The role supports the call center and patient scheduling operations, serves as a subject matter expert for onboarding, training, and coaching, and assists Care Navigation with scheduling. The position is full-time, with a typical schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Holiday work is required on a rotation according to the company holiday calendar; weekend work and on-call duties are not required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 4–5 years of customer service experience.
• 2–3 years of previous scheduling experience.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or 2-year degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of senior scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate real-time monitoring of the call center.
• Answer calls and schedule patients when call volume is high.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for new-hire onboarding and training and for coaching legacy employees.
• Develop and maintain training materials as the subject matter expert.
• Assist Care Navigation with scheduling patients.
• Review and complete reports on scheduler productivity.
• Audit call center interactions in Live Vox and patient documentation in ECW.
