About The Position

The Lead Retail Clerk performs retail selling and clerical work, including receiving and displaying merchandise in a retail store. The role trains and directs retail clerks in ordering, receiving, sales, inventory, cash control, and customer service functions. The position is part-time, located at Intel in Hillsboro, Oregon, and requires Canva and writing experience. Days and hours may vary.

Responsibilities

• Train and direct retail clerks.
• Receive and check in merchandise.
• Stock shelves, counters, and tables with merchandise.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to promote sales.
• Stamp, mark, and tag merchandise with prices.
• Retrieve merchandise requested by customers or receive merchandise selected by customers.
• Calculate merchandise prices and tax to determine the final bill amount.
• Accept payments and make change.
• Wrap and bag merchandise.
• Remove and record cash in the register at the end of the shift.
• Keep records of sales, prepare inventory, and order merchandise.
• Keep the showroom clean and orderly.
• Answer customer questions about merchandise location, price, and use.
• Handle escalated customer service concerns.
• Comply with sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and perform work safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
