About The Position

As a Sales Clerk at Russell Stover Chocolates, you will help ensure customers receive a high-quality experience in the company’s retail stores. You will greet and assist customers, provide product information and suggestions, and process purchases. The role also involves preparing and supervising regular in-house production of items such as caramel apples and fudge, receiving and stocking merchandise, merchandising, cleaning, and completing other tasks as directed. A flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, is required. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and able to meet the stated standing, bending, reaching, hand-use, and lifting requirements. Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and relevant customer service, cash handling, retail, restaurant, fast food, or cash register experience. Employment is contingent upon I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification, passing a urinalysis drug screen, education verification, and satisfactory reference and background checks. Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.
Be able to constantly stand, bend, reach, and work with hands.
Be able to lift up to 5 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Complete I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification, pass a urinalysis drug screen, complete education verification, and receive satisfactory reference and background checks as conditions of employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Welcome customers by greeting them.
Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous customer service.
Help customers make selections by providing product information, building customer confidence, and offering suggestions.
Accurately total purchases and process checks, cash, and credit card payments.
Prepare and supervise regular in-house production of items such as caramel apples and fudge.
Unload, receive, and stock merchandise.
Execute merchandising activities.
Perform regular cleaning activities and other required tasks.
Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing a variety of directed tasks.
