About The Position
The Lead Retail Associate supervises Store Associates in daily store operations, provides direction as needed, and serves as an example of superior customer service. The role acts as a product expert who educates and informs customers and helps them find products for any occasion, while representing the BYLT brand. The position supports store operations, customer transactions, merchandising, inventory handling, cash reconciliation, scheduling, and team workflow. It also maintains a safe, clean, and welcoming store environment and develops standard operating procedure guidance for daily retail operations.
Requirements
- Previous retail and supervisory experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to use technology effectively when engaging with customers and the team to meet goals.
- Ability to handle customer interactions and potential issues or concerns courteously and professionally.
- Basic information-gathering skills for problem-solving.
- Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training.
- Dependability.
- Ability to perform the listed physical demands, including occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.

Responsibilities
- Guide and assist Retail Associates with daily operational tasks.
- Help customers with shopping needs and transactions.
- Complete merchandising tasks according to the plan-o-gram.
- Follow proper receiving and stocking procedures.
- Count and reconcile cash register drawers.
- Prepare deposits and order change from the bank.
- Inspect, remove, or rotate store inventory according to the Product Freshness Review Schedule.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and pleasing environment for customers and associates.
- Design a monthly schedule and assign work to support an efficient workflow.
- Establish and create standard operating procedure guidelines for daily retail operations.
- Educate and inform customers about products and help outfit them for occasions.
- Set sales goals and motivate the team.
