About The Position

The Lead Product Manager plays a critical role in shaping product portfolio strategy and participating in business case development. The role is accountable for the full product lifecycle, from ideation through end-of-life, and determines interdependencies across CDK product lines and its ecosystem. It defines strategy and requirements for new and existing offerings, delivers sustaining improvements and new innovation, and recommends whether to build, buy, or partner. As the voice of the customer and market for the product organization, the Lead Product Manager ensures user personas and product requirements are reflected in features (epics) and user stories, and works with the Scrum Master to make timely decisions about requirement trade-offs. The position conducts highly complex, ambiguous and vital work with minimal to no supervision and substantial latitude for independent judgment. It uses expertise to evolve or create procedures, keeps stakeholders informed about competitors and market trends, and applies industry, organizational and customer knowledge to solve complex problems and recommend new solutions. The Lead Product Manager leads product strategy and requirements for agile teams, features, initiatives and users. The role also coaches team members and frequently mentors less experienced staff. Successful execution is expected to create significant business value through profitable growth and customer satisfaction, measured by NPS, across the product family and connected use cases.
