About The Position

Flatiron Health is seeking a Lead Product Manager to shape the evolution of oncology workflow products used by clinicians to deliver safe and efficient cancer care. The role owns the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and development lifecycle across three teams supporting core clinical workflows in Flatiron’s oncology point-of-care solutions. It partners with Product Managers and cross-functional teams—including Software Engineers, Product Designers, Clinicians, and Data Scientists—to build products spanning diagnosis and staging through treatment planning, ordering, and delivery. The Lead Product Manager is both a hands-on product owner and a coach to a team of Product Managers. The role guides user-facing clinical workflow applications from concept through launch and iteration, supports data-driven products that streamline clinical operations, and evaluates AI capabilities that can reduce cognitive burden and improve clinical efficiency. It also makes portfolio-level tradeoffs, establishes measurable product outcomes, communicates strategy to internal and external stakeholders, and develops the product team.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of product management experience, including independently scoping requirements, translating end-to-end user journeys into technical backlogs, and leading cross-functional teams from concept to launch.
  • At least 3 years of people management experience, with the ability to delegate, align, and hold team members accountable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business management or a technology field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A track record of shipping products users value and leading complex, ambiguous projects end to end.
  • Ability to bring structure and clarity to unstructured, rapidly evolving challenges.
  • Strong project and financial management skills, and ability to work across technical capabilities, partner needs, user experience, and detailed execution.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with groups such as technical experts, clinicians, operations, and regulatory professionals.
  • Customer-centric B2B or enterprise mindset, strong attention to detail, and exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills, including interpreting data insights, navigating tradeoffs, and managing competing priorities with high autonomy.
  • Technical curiosity and aptitude for AI/ML capabilities, including evaluating and scoping potential solutions to data and workflow challenges.
  • Collaborative problem-solving approach and openness to giving and receiving candid feedback.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare technology, clinical workflows, or working directly with clinical users and stakeholders.
  • Experience identifying, scoping, or shipping AI/ML capabilities within complex SaaS products.
  • Experience working in highly regulated or compliance-driven environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, roadmap, ROI, and investment allocations for the product teams’ ownership areas.
  • Partner with Product Managers as they refine and execute product strategy across scrum teams, and align portfolio strategy with the Head of Product and broader Business Unit strategy.
  • Lead product lifecycles for clinical oncology workflow applications, including complex cross-team work from concept through launch and iteration.
  • Coach Product Managers as they lead the design, development, and rollout of data-driven products that streamline clinical operations and support safe, high-quality care.
  • Evaluate, prototype, and deliver capabilities that integrate AI into workflows and establish platform capabilities for efficient scaling.
  • Translate clinical context, technical constraints, and business goals into clear product requirements and make portfolio-level strategic tradeoffs.
  • Address staffing decisions, budget considerations, and complex scenario planning as needed.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the roadmap and present to senior leadership and external customer partners.
  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap to internal teams, customers, and vendor partners.
  • Establish KPIs for clinical workflow efficiency, usability, and product adoption, and hold cross-functional teams accountable for patient and business outcomes.
