About the position
We are seeking a Lead Product Designer to join Allergan Data Labs and contribute to the transformation of the Allergan Aesthetics beauty business. As the primary designer for a significant body of capabilities, you will work closely with the Product Design Manager to design end-to-end experiences, uphold UX standards, and support engineering in executing those experiences. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to manage a team of Product Designers and participate in qualitative user research to make iterative improvements. Responsibilities
- Support the Product Manager in product discovery and design end-to-end experiences across multiple channels
- Uphold consistency and UX standards
- Support engineering in the execution of experiences
- Potentially manage 1-2 Product Designers or continue as an advanced individual contributor
- Assist the Product Design Manager with critiques and define the longer-term vision for the squad(s) and tribe
- Conduct design reviews to ensure alignment with key stakeholders and adherence to brand and accessibility standards
- Participate in and conduct qualitative user research
- Craft journey maps and use qualitative and quantitative tools to monitor the product and make iterative improvements
- Expand the design system with new components, micro-interactions, and illustrations
Requirements
- 5+ years of UX and UI design experience with experience in mobile-first responsive web design, iOS/Material Design patterns, atomic design principles, and design systems.
- Highly experienced in Figma or similar design tools.
- Empathy for how consumers and aesthetic providers behave and feel about the product and actively participate in user research.
- Gracefully accept feedback and critiques and seek out any new information that will help prepare for the next challenge.
- A portfolio featuring examples of outstanding design work in SaaS platforms or consumer mobile apps and services.
