About The Position

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a safety-focused, results-driven Lead Person to lead daily quarry operations during the second shift. The role supports production goals, promotes a strong safety culture, coordinates crews and equipment, and helps ensure efficient operations throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a heavy industrial, mining, manufacturing, construction, or related environment.
• Strong commitment to safety leadership and fostering a positive safety culture.
• Ability to plan work, solve operational challenges, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to motivate and develop employees.
• Working knowledge of mobile equipment, crushing operations, production processes, and maintenance coordination.
• Successful completion of a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require ongoing FMCSA-regulated drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead hourly employees to safely achieve production and operational goals.
• Coordinate equipment, personnel, and resources to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Conduct workplace inspections and reinforce compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.
• Communicate shift priorities, operational updates, and performance expectations to employees.
• Support employee development through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
