About The Position
The Lead Person supports safe, efficient, and reliable aggregate plant operations by coordinating daily production activities and leading team members. The role monitors equipment and production processes, helps address issues to minimize downtime, assists with scheduling and task assignments, and ensures production goals are met. It also includes conducting inspections and maintaining accurate operational and safety records. The position operates primarily in environments with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels. Employment is contingent on completing a post-offer physical examination, drug and alcohol screening, and background check. Some positions require ongoing FMCSA-regulated drug and alcohol testing.
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to guide and support a production team.
- Strong knowledge of aggregate operations, equipment, and safe work practices.
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize competing operational needs.
- Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
