About The Position
Mercy Church in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, seeks a deeply Bible-rooted teacher and shepherd to lead the growth of God’s Kingdom. The Lead Pastor will faithfully preach and teach God’s word and develop and mobilize the God-given gifts of a small, committed group of disciples. Congregants emphasize fostering and implementing regular community outreach opportunities and developing a youth ministry. The role also calls for the people skills to shepherd a devoted congregation eager to serve God and share the healing power and grace of Jesus, as well as administrative ability, broad leadership expertise, organizational skills, energy, enthusiasm, humility, kindness, and a strong prayer life. Licensing with The Christian & Missionary Alliance is required.
Requirements
- Licensing with The Christian & Missionary Alliance is required.
- Deep biblical grounding and ability to teach and shepherd.
- Administrative ability, broad leadership expertise, and strong organizational skills.
- People skills for shepherding a congregation.
- A strong prayer life.
