About The Position

Kenmore Alliance Church is seeking a Christ-centered Lead Pastor to serve as its primary spiritual leader. The pastor will preach and teach God's Word, disciple and shepherd the congregation, equip believers for ministry, and help the church make a community and global impact for Christ. The ideal candidate is a servant-leader with a deep love for Jesus, a passion for Scripture, and a commitment to prayer, discernment, humility, and missional engagement. Kenmore Alliance Church is a Christian and Missionary Alliance congregation in the Kenmore area of Tonawanda, New York. Founded in 1915, the church has a spacious facility welcoming more than 400 weekly attendees. Its mission is to glorify God by making committed disciples of Jesus Christ who make disciples of all nations. The church is committed to biblical teaching, Spirit-led worship, intergenerational ministry, and global missions. The Lead Pastor will deliver biblically grounded, Spirit-led, expository, challenging, and culturally relevant sermons; discern and articulate direction for the church; develop and empower staff and volunteer leaders; shepherd the congregation; and oversee church operations in partnership with the Board of Elders and ministry teams. The position supports local outreach and global missions in alignment with the Christian and Missionary Alliance's Fourfold Gospel and Great Commission focus. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. The total compensation package is between $60,000 and $80,000 and includes benefits, optional use of a parsonage, retirement matching, generous paid time off, and a cell phone plan.

Requirements

Clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a life reflecting spiritual maturity.
Ordained or eligible for ordination with the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
Full agreement with the C&MA Statement of Faith and polity.
5–10 years of pastoral leadership experience.
Strong communication skills and expository preaching ability.
Proven leadership in casting vision, building teams, and equipping the body for ministry.
At least 30 hours in Biblical Studies or Theology from an accredited institution.

Nice To Haves

Pastoral leadership experience in a mid-sized, multi-staff church setting.
Bachelor's degree or Master of Divinity.

Responsibilities

Deliver biblically grounded, Spirit-led, expository, challenging, and culturally relevant sermons.
Oversee the preaching schedule and teaching ministries.
Discern and articulate God's direction for the church, cast vision, and guide strategic planning and ministry development.
Guide believers to discover and use their gifts, and equip the body for ministry.
Demonstrate servant-leadership, empower staff, and delegate effectively.
Shepherd the congregation, staff, and leaders with compassion, integrity, and wise biblical counsel.
Lead and develop a strong, caring staff and leadership team, providing encouragement, accountability, and alignment.
Support local outreach and global missions in alignment with the C&MA's Fourfold Gospel and Great Commission focus.
Oversee church operations in partnership with the Board of Elders and ministry teams.
